The concept of the second, cheap accessory allround board
began late 2001 where the cold weather and a knee injury led to deep levels of meditation in the garage.
Matt Pendle, was sometimes riding around with a woodboard,
that gave birth to the Wipika Park and Takoon Woodboard one year later.
Even if it was rather a commercial disaster, the concept was functional though.
After having some issues with traditional composite board building,
the attempt to build a board with extreme simplicity and low-cost,... extreme low-cost!
This kind of shape allows to get rid of the fins, at least on flat water or in light conditions, and this opens the door
to different spots where the water wasn't deep enough for traditional boards.
No matter if you damage the board on obstacles, it's cheap and easy to repair.
What's more it would be easier to ride skate modules because of the finless design.
OK, the motivation is here, let's go !

The name of Flaqueboard came from this concept of "ride every piece of water, exploit the tide pools", hence develop
an atypic way of ride. That was called portnawake, it's not Wake, it's PortnaWake! [unable to translate in English, anyway...]
